Cherry Point is operated under the Tax Credit Program. The program is designed to facilitate the housing needs of low, moderate, and middle-income families. Residency at Cherry Point requires the applicants to meet certain qualifying standards established by the government. This program is not connected with Section 8, although Housing vouchers are accepted. Income includes, in addition to standard wages, funds received from many other sources, such as alimony, child support, pensions, and social security. Individuals and families must meet specific income standards in order to qualify to live at Cherry Point.
